My services
Bath & blowdry
Every groom starts with a bath. I use high quality professional shampoos selected to suit your dogs coat type. I do have sensitive shampoo if required - just ask.
After the bath I will dry your dog using a high powered “blaster” dryer. If your dog is anxious then I have a quieter “stand” dryer that can be used.
Full groom
I will be able to assess your dogs individual coat type and recommend the appropriate service, whether this is a clipped body, a thorough deshed or just a light scissor trim.
All grooms will include:
bath and blow-dry
full body brush and comb
haircut as required
nail cut
paw pads and hygiene area cleared
ears cleaned
All grooms will be finished with a spritz of perfume and a complimentary bow
Mini groom
A mini groom is the same as a full groom but without the hair being cut. It is perfect for an interim tidy between full grooms particularly for curly coated dogs prone to matting.
A mini groom will include:
bath and blow-dry
full body brush and comb
nail cut
paw pads and hygiene area cleared
ears cleaned
a foot tidy
eye area trimmed
Puppy grooms
It is so important to get your dog used to the grooming experience at an early age. Your new puppy can come for a puppy session as early as 2 weeks after their second vaccinations.
I start with an introductory session of bath, blow-dry, nail clip, foot and eye tidy to start with and then move on to a full groom when your dog is ready.
I recommend a visit monthly while your puppy is young and we will then work our way up to a full groom at around 6 months of age.
Handstripping
This is a specialist skill where the hair is quite literally stripped by hand - no clippers or scissors are used. It is ideal for wire coat breeds as it maintains the rich colour and wire texture.
It is time consuming and not all dogs will stand long enough so it is best to come in for a consultation before booking so that I can assess your dogs coat.
If your dog has been neutered or spayed it is not always possible to handstrip the coat.
Nail clipping & ear cleaning
This is included as a complimentary service with every full groom but can be booked as a standalone service if required. It will only take 5 minutes so give me a call to book.
